The town is known for its antique stores which are located in the main shopping area and draw in visitors from all sides of the Isle of Wight, and from further afield.

One of the most popular places to visit in Ventnor is the Ventnor Botanic Garden, which is home to tropical plants from all over the world, including New Zealand, the Mediterranean and Japan. It makes a lovely afternoon out for flora lovers and is definitely worth the visit if in the area.
